About 75% of the sugar in Japan is made from Hokkaido beets. Molasses and honey have the advantage that they are rich in flavor and can be satisfying even in small quantities. White sugar is said to cool the body, but molasses is said to warm the body.

Le crabe royal, également appelé le roi des crabes, fait partie de la famille biologique des bernard-l'ermite. Alors que les crabes ont généralement huit pattes, les crabes royaux en ont six, avec deux pattes plus petites dans leur abdomen (cavité branchiale).
