沖縄の伝統工芸である「やちむん(焼き物)」。この作品は、人間国宝である金城次郎を祖父に持つ「藤岡香奈子」の手によるものである。代々引き継がれてきた技術と絵柄に、香奈子らしい感性で、沖縄らしい新たなモチーフと色めを取り入れて作陶したもの。

Yachimun (pottery) is a traditional Okinawan craft. This piece was created by Kanako Fujioka, whose grandfather was Jiro Kinjo, a Living National Treasure. Kanako’s unique sensibility is incorporated into the techniques and designs that have been passed down through generations, incorporating new motifs and colors that are uniquely Okinawan.
